Now that the nitty gritty stuff is out of the way, lets get to some fun creations… My first project is our daughter's birth announcement. I made 80 of these to share with friends, family, and even some special customers! Each one was scored using the Simply Score tool, stamped with VersaMark using Stampin’ Up!’s background stamp “ Distressed Dots” then heat embossed with Melon Mambo embossing powder! Printed the “announcement “ part on Very Vanilla Cardstock, layered it on Basic Gray and attached them to the Basic Black base. I layered the photo of Addison on Melon Mambo cardstock. I closed it with Very Vanilla Seam Binding ribbon and an adorable tag using the “welcome, baby” stamp from the Little Additions stamp set layered on Basic Gray. Then I had to add some sparkle, so I spritzed each one with a shimmer paint/rubbing alcohol mixture. I just love the way this style card opens and yet still fits in a standard envelope!
Then, with a New Baby, comes gifts… so one needs thank you cards that match, right? Well here is what I came up with to simplify it, I made 80 of these as well!
I used Whisper White, Melon Mambo, Basic Black, and Basic Gray Cardstock, small heart punch, circle punches, Melon Mambo ribbon, Melon Mambo Classic Ink and the “Thank you” stamp set from Curly Cute!
How would you like to win a pack of 10 of these thank you cards? Leave a comment below and I’ll randomly pick a winner. Make sure to add your email address!
