It’s here, time for another blog hop!

Welcome Hoppers!

Blog Hop Badges-002 Okay, so first I have to say that this post might be a bit quirky… I’m running on little sleep and just finished my creations!  Today was a LOOOOONNNNNGGGG day… My oldest (9), youngest (4 months) and I traveled to Bellingham to attend a celebration of life for my Aunt who passed away suddenly from a heart attack.  It was a BEAUTIFUL service!  My behindy and back are a bit sore from nearly 7 hours in the car though!  That being said and my whining out of the way, here are my creations:

A card:

I made this as a simple thank you for my Uncle and cousins to use for “Thank You” cards.  I have about 25 made and plan on making some more tomorrow before sending them up there.  I cased this card from a very talented lady (and now I can’t seem to find the site I found it on, ugh on my part), so thank you kind lady for sharing :-)

Then… our daughter is turning 5 months old this month… so picture time it is! DSC_0715 And a onesie is needed… So here is what I made herDSC_0718  and because every girl needs a hair accessory I also created this:DSC_0711

but because my model decided to start snoozing before I could put the headband on her I had to use the adorable (insert wink here) Styrofoam head, which my husband thinks is creepy so occasionally I hide it places for him to find, ha ha!    DSC_0712

Well,  I hope you’ve enjoyed my projects!  If you’d be so kind to leave a comment, I’d be forever grateful!

Grandma Jo

It’s been almost 10 months since my Grandma passed away to be with the Lord.  I was so fortunate to spend sometime taking care of her and being there for my step-grandpa with other family members the week before she passed.  It was a hard couple of days, but I am so grateful for them!  My Aunts, Cousins and I spent many hours scanning old photos for us to have digitally and with these pictures I was able to create a slideshow for the memorial service.  Here is what I created to honor my Grandma’s life.

Here are the first 4 pages that were played.  It was easy to add embellishments and create something that I could share with my Aunts and Uncles and they could enjoy digitally or have printed on 12x12 sheets to put in a book of their very own.

Thanks,

Heather

Holy Guacamole!

Please don’t faint!  Yup, 3 posts in 3 days.  I know it C-R-A-Z-Y around here, lol.

I have a WONDERFUL friend who took our Christmas pictures for 2011,  (Thank you Karlee!) then I added some editing to it and got it all printed.  Addison got sick, life got busy, and Christmas cards were never sent out to the masses!  (Sorry about that!)  However, it is such an awesome picture that I have to share it…

Christmas Option #2

From left to right you have Trenton (4), Me (ha, not posting that online), Addison (about 2 months), Mark (a year older than me), Bolton (2), and Jaydon (9).

We ALL wore sweatshirts and jackets over to Karlee’s and then JUST before the picture uncovered our pristine white shirts, and snapped some photos before anyone of us could get them dirty! 4 guys  in white shirts doesn’t last long!  A couple things that I LOVE about this photo.  Addison is wearing a knit sweater that my Grandma made for Jaydon when he was a baby and she is wearing little black shoes (a bit big on her) that were mine when I was a wee one.  My Grandma passed away in April and so that sweater is extra special to our family and will be passed on to grandkids for special occasions too :-)

Then we took pictures of the kids…  January Picture

Kids Calendar, January

Well, there you have it!  No stamping today… off to make some onesies!  Check back in tomorrow.  I will be sharing a project I made with MDS (WHICH IS FREE FOR 30 DAYS, hello, you must try it out!)

Happy Stamping!

Gearing up for Valentine’s Day!

I had to come up with 2 quick projects yesterday to send to California for a friend to host her own workshop!  Here is what I came up with!  DSC_0614

Using a sucker (from the bank, lol) I decorated it up using Real Red cardstock, Blushing Bride DSP and whisper white ribbon.  I inked up the heart in Real Red Classic Ink and cut it out, popped it up on dimensionals and there you have it :-)

Then she needed a card to demonstrate as well,  so …DSC_0612

Using Real Red ink and paper, more Blushing Bride DSP, whisper white paper and ribbon here is what I came up with.  It’s simple but shows how you can use one stamp set to create multiple projects with some paper and ink.  Oh and the background here is stamped in Real Red also, but “stamped off” on scratch paper!  I love that a beginner stamper can use one stamp pad but create a different look using this technique!

Here they are pictured together!  Enjoy Janell!

Purchase this stamp set, paper, ink pad and some coordinating ribbon and you can add a FREE item from Sale-a-bration!  visit www.heatherd.stampinup.net for more information or feel free to contact me!

Thanks for stopping by!

Stylin’ Stampin’ Squad Blog Hop!

Blog Hop Badges-002 (2)

Welcome!   I hope you’re enjoying the blog hop thus far!  I’ve had fun with the projects I created and love the stamp set that us bloggers were challenged to use (however, I must admit, I have not used this stamp set often enough, lol).  I am in L-O-V-E with the adorable Designer Series Paper offered as a Sale-a-bration treat in this years line up.  It is just fabulous in my opinion.

I started out decorating a tin,  I plan on giving this one to a lady in my downline that is celebrating one year with Stampin’ Up! how wonderful is that!  She is awesome and such a great friend… anywho… back to the projects…

DSC_0608

I am loving this pattern, the frilliness along with the elegance could be for just about any occasion and pair it up with this stamped image and you have a winner!  If I was keeping the tin, I’d use it for scrap embellishments myself.  What would you use it for?

DSC_0603

Here is a matching card .  You’ll notice the edge of the stamped image was rubbed in Calypso Coral.  I did this for both projects, however it shows more predominately on the card.  DSC_0611

Here you can see it in a close up!  I did not think I’d like the combination of Calypso Coral and Blushing Bride but they really do compliment each other.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you will share our blog hop with your friends! Don’t forget to stop by next month as well!
