Snow… ugh!

Although the wonderful snow was a pleasant surprise it also hindered a few ladies from making it to an event I was having last night!  That will have to be rescheduled!  078I did however have the craft studio cleaned and ready to stamp… so I did it anyways.  I designed a couple of birthday cards.  The one on the right uses whisper white, choc. chip, and riding hood red paper.  I used the cupcake from the “Crazy for Cupcakes” the “Cupcakes” wheel.  I also stamped the inside with “Celebrate on cupcake at a time!”  a stamp set out of the “Sweet Little Sentiments” set, a level one hostess set that is so easy to earn!  I love using my new circle cutter and can think of 101 ways to use it for scrapbooking but sitting down last night to design cards I drew a blank.  Today I will be spending sometime looking up more ideas for creative ways to use this great tool.  I am so grateful to all of the creative resources available to Stampin’ Up! demonstrators and the chance to share them all with you!  My next event is on Thursday where we will be making a Happy Birthday card (not this one, I want to keep this one a surprise).  This is my hostess club meeting and if you are a member it is free of charge, otherwise it is $5.00 for the supplies.  There is still time to join, for more information please call or email me!

Hope you all have a great day! ~ Heather

Valentine’s Goodies…

It is dumping snow right now and it is so beautiful out!  I don’t mind the snow when I have no where to be!  I just took a moment to finish up Jaydon’s 045Valentines Treats for his Kindergarten class and they turned out simple and cute.  I also made a few for Thank You boxes but wanted to keep his simple as I needed to make 24 of them.  Thanks to Beate Jones for the idea!

These are really small but perfect for a few pieces of candy.  I used whisper white paper and rubbed my Riding Hood Red Stamp pad on it.  I stamped “Friend to Friend” on Riding Hood Red paper and punched it out.  That is adhered to the box using SU dimensions and the lid of the box stays closed when tucked behind it.  I am going to fill them with Hersey Kisses!  046If you would like step by step pictures click HERE.   To order the supplies feel free to visit my website and place an order.  Spend $50 and get a FREE item out of the Sale-a-Brations catalog along with a FREE Idea Book!

Do you have an upcoming event to plan?  Need help designing those birthday invites for your son or daughter?  I am always here to help!  Give me a call and we can make them together!

Off to bake cookies and enjoy the beautiful snow!  Hope you have a great day! ~ Heather

Box of Surprises

031 This adorable box is perfect for wrapping up a selection of handmade greeting cards.  Make someone’s Valentine by giving them this elegant box with some thank you, birthday, sympathy, or just because cards inside.  Do you want to learn how to make this?  It is easy and takes only 2 sheets of 8.5 x 11 sized paper.  I used my Stampin’ Up! wheel with Versa Mark and silver embossing033 powder to give it another dimension. Then to add that extra special touch, I scalloped the edges with my SU punch.    It took minutes to make and decorate.  I would be happy to share the instructions with you, just email me and I will send them your way!

This week is going to be a crazy week for me. Jaydon has wrestling practice Mondays and Wednesdays now which Mark is coaching so Trenton and I will be staying home (Trenton is too young and just wants to be on the mat with his big brother),  I am going to use these nights to hopefully scrapbook! I am finishing up Mark’s Valentines Day gift this week!  Oh Tuesday night there is a group of ladies coming over to make a happy birthday card and a valentines day card.  Thursday evening is my hostess club (still room for two more if you are interested!) and on Thursday and Friday I am working (yup, I do that occasionally) at a local flower shop to help them out with the holiday rush.  I am going to be all prepared for the rest of the week by the end of tonight.  Be sure to check out the events for February under “upcoming Events & Classes” post.  There is still room for the February 10th gathering and it is open to everyone, just email me if you are planning on making it!

Well,  off to finish (okay do a little more, I am never finished!) housework and get dinner started so we can eat before practice.  I should have more pictures posted tomorrow!  Hope you all have the chance to take a moment and get crafty!  ~Heather

Thank you…

I am terrible at remembering to send off thank you cards but I find that it is much easier to007 do so when I have them pre-made and ready to hit the mail box.  Last month I shared a simple “Thank You” card at an event but wanted to put it on here to share with those who were unable to  attend.

If you would like the instructions please email me!

Today was busy and I was unable to find time to stamp (bummer), but last night I was able to get some crafting in!  Our neighbor came over and we made boxes for goodies for our kids to hand out for Valentine’s Day.  It was great!  Tomorrow I will be working on projects for our Military Vehicle Preservation Club meeting… I will try to break away and create something special but no promises!  Hope you have a great evening and thanks for stopping by! ~Heather
