Today is...

craft room re-do!  I obtained a new piece of furniture this weekend and am super excited to put it to work... So rearranging tables, de-cluttering and making the space easier to get around is the name of the game.  I will take pictures of before and after and show the new (to me) piece of furniture soon!

This of course is being done while I do laundry and run after 3 of the 4 kiddos :-)

Have a fabulous Monday!

Stylin’ Stampin’ Squad July Blog Hop!

First and most importantly HAPPY INDEPENENCE DAY to all of my fellow Americans! I hope you all had a wonderful day celebration our freedom with your family and friends.
If you are joining me from Patricia T.’s blog welcome! This group of ladies always inspires me to get my craft on, I hope you find the same inspiration!
If you are a crafting procrastinator please raise your hand (I’d leave my hand up, but I have to type and doing so one handed is a challenge). Okay I admit I was a bit behind this month but I absolutely love my projects and how they manifested in my head and then came to life on paper.
First a little story about why I created these… My husband and I have been members of our local Historic Military Vehicle Preservation Club for a few years now. We have LOTS of vehicles. Some run, some don’t. Some are restored, some are not. All deserve love! My husbands pride and joy is our 1942 White Halftrack. halftrack
Pictured here at a show last December. This thing is AWESOME! He restored it from the ground up starting with this: DSC01256

Lets just say my husband rocks when it comes to restoring HMV’s. He has always wanted an album to show the restoration process… so what better time to get to work creating a mini-album for him to take to shows with him then NOW, because when I think of Independence Day, I think of Veterans. And when I think of Veterans, I think of our HMV’s and how blessed we are to have them, share them and use them to honor our Veterans!
So… with out further rambling I introduce to you my husbands mini-album (minus pictures, because like admitted above…I am a procrastinator) DSC_0311

I learned how to create these albums from Julie! Here are pictures of the inside and the clear envelopes that I will use to put pictures in of the progress!DSC_0313

Lastly, here is the card that I made to go along with the mini-album. The above “logo” of the club is a near match, but I wanted to try making it a couple different ways. I love the rustic-military feel to this card, much better in person!
Thank you for stopping by and please drop a comment below, we LOVE the feedback!

Stylin’ Stampin’ Squad June Blog Hop!

Welcome! If you are joining me from Patricia T’s blog, I hope you enjoyed what she created. I am so proud to be part of a great group of ladies that are seriously talented!

This month I wanted to focus on Father’s Day! As a family with 4 kiddos (9, 5, 2, and 7 months) I think it is uber important to take the time to honor Mark for being an awesome Daddy! So, I started by creating this card…

DSC_0204Now, I don’t usually dream about stamps… okay I do, but don’t tell anyone! This card came to me in a dream although in a birthday card format, but when I sat down at my stampin’ table I *HAD* to use the concept! So, with that this card was born!

I added a spot of whisper white paper for the kids to sign (although the two oldest will probably want to make their own cards.DSC_0208 I used markers to color directly on the stamp, huffed and stamped! You’ll notice that I had to alter the stamp “I dig you” to “we”.

Now onto his gift. A few years back (2009 to be exact) I made Mark a 12x12 scrapbook page in Old Olive with December 2009 lettering (using the Big Shot) and then each of the kids inked up their hands in versamark and we stamped their hands, we added white embossing powder and heat set and put in a shadow box frame. I’ve been wanting to do this again now that a) they have grownDSC_0211 and b) we have 4 now! But their hands barely fit last time, so I got to thinkingDSC_0209! Here is what I came up with. I was not able to get Addison’s done yet, but her’s will be heat embossed using the same MDS created background and Melon Mambo embossing powder! These will be put in frames and hung together! I found document frames (8.5 x 11) at the local dollar tree! I hope this inspires you to create something with your kids for this upcoming Father’s Day! If you have any questions about the projects show, please put it in a comment below, I read each and every one!

I hope that you have enjoyed the projects so far! Weather you are just joining us or are visiting from Patricia’s blog, I hope you will continue on and please don’t forget to leave a comment below, we can’t wait to read what you have to say!DSC_0210

Stamping Blessings,

Heather
